Installing an Efficient Hose Faucet Watering System

Hose faucet watering is one of the simplest ways to water your lawn and garden areas on a budget. An above-ground sprinkler system is much more cost-effective and easier to set up than an underground yard irrigation system. Installing a hose faucet connected sprinkler system is quite simple and very few complicated sprinkler parts are needed.
For your above-ground irrigation system, you need a few items only:
  • Garden hoses
  • Hose fittings/adapters
  • Hose faucet watering timer
  • Hose faucet manifold
  • Lawn sprinklers
You probably already have watering hoses. If they are older, however, you may need to replace them or use hose repair fittings such as a clincher mender. You may also want to get - if you do not already have any - coiled hose protectors and hose guides to prevent breaking from bending and to protect your delicate plants from being crushed by your water hoses.
A hose faucet timer is a wonderful tool to use for your Orbit sprinkler system. Just like an automatic in-ground sprinkler system, you can automate your above-ground garden irrigation system as well. With a hose faucet manifold, you can have multiple water garden hoses connected to a single garden hose spigot, making it more efficient and easier to use.
Last, of course, and probably most important, are lawn sprinklers. You need the proper water sprinklers for your hose faucet watering system. There are many different types of garden sprinklers from turret to rotating to ornamental. Depending on your yard's watering needs, you may need water oscillators that cover areas up to 3,600 square feet or you may only need a fixed spray ring sprinkler that covers up to 10 feet in diameter. With so many options in the hose faucet connected yard sprinkler department, you really cannot go wrong as long as you use the correct type of sprinkler of the right size area where it belongs.
You can enjoy a beautiful lawn and lush gardens and flowers with an above-ground water sprinkler system. An Orbit hose faucet watering system is easy to install and works with nearly any budget.
